Do you file insurance?
The office manager files insurance every day. Once your deductible has been met, insurance payments are usually received 7-10 days later. Insurance checks are either sent to the provider (Dr. Alexander) or directly to you.
Which insurance plans do you work with?
We work with Comprehensive Major Medical Plans, PPOs (Preferred Provider Organizations), and POS (Point of Service) plans. Some of the out-of-network insurance companies we work with are listed below. Please call if you have additional questions.

Does your office accept credit cards?
Dr. Alexander accepts cash, personal checks, Visa and Mastercard.
How long are sessions with Dr. Alexander?
The
initial visit is a 55-60 minute appointment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to process insurance and other paperwork. Subsequent
sessions are 45 minutes.
Is someone available to answer my questions over the phone, or will I have to talk to an answering machine?
The office manager schedules appointments and answer questions about insurance and therapy between 8:30 am and 3:15 pm. After 3:15 pm, Dr. Alexander's answering service of 18 years answers the phone, and your information will be e-mailed to her immediately. Dr. Alexander will return your call at her first break. After-hours calls will be returned the next morning. Professional guidelines stipulate that Dr. Alexander can only accept after-hours emergency calls from established patients.
How do I change, cancel or reschedule my appointment?
24 hours notice is required for cancellations so that other patients with urgent needs can be seen. You can leave your message with the office manager or the answering service (24/7). A fee will be charged for broken appointments without the 24 hour notice.
